Day 16, ABCs of Gratitude: Puzzles!

We are well past the halfway mark through the 'ABCs of Gratitude' and today I'm thinking about something I am grateful for that begins with the letter 'P'.

...This one's a real teaser. Always makes me think in a different way. And exercises my brain.

What am I grateful for? Puzzles!

From crosswords to brain teasers to jigsaws, I am grateful for puzzles because they keep my mind sharp, challenge me to think about things in a different way, and are a heck of a lot of fun! Well, when I get them, at least.

Since I was in high school, holidays or vacations usually involve a jigsaw puzzle or strategic card game. Chatting whilst putting a puzzle together may seem like a nightmare to some, but for me it is an opportunity to carry on a relaxed conversation and build something special with a loved one. There's a reason that last piece is so sacred, ya know?

Do you and your family partake in puzzles or games at their gatherings? Do you have a particular strategy you use to put a puzzle together?
